Alec Toselli is a Swedish actor of Italian, Swedish and Estonian heritage, whose work combines a strong physical presence with considerable range and an instinctive ability to move between radically different characters and genres. Born in Norrköping in 1993, Alec has developed an international profile through work across Swedish, European and English-language productions.
He trained professionally at Cours Florent in Paris, graduating in 2020, and subsequently developed his work through Meisner-based training at Ted Bardy Acting Studio in New York and Playhouse West in Los Angeles. This combination of European dramatic training and American screen-acting methodology has informed an approach that is both technically grounded and highly responsive to the demands of contemporary film and television.
Alec's screen work demonstrates an unusually broad range. His international television debut came as Galeazzo Ciano in Dragan Bjelogrlić's Senke Nad Balkanom (Black Sun), a role for which he gained 17 kg as part of his physical transformation. He subsequently appeared as Jesse in the feature film Suicide Tuesday, directed by Joakim Paronen, alongside roles in films and series including The Helicopter Heist, We Come In Peace, Context, Too Much Sand, The Dream Machine and Headache. His recent work also includes the short film Wet Machine and the voice role of Bruce in Borrbywood.
In 2024, Alec was selected as one of the eight Black Nights Stars, an international talent programme presented by Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event and the PÖFF Black Nights Film Festival, bringing together emerging actors from the Baltic and Nordic region and connecting them with international casting directors, agents, producers and directors.
His versatility is further supported by an extensive physical and performance skill set. Alec has training and experience in stage combat, sword fighting, archery, horse riding and stunt work, alongside a background in shooting and physical performance. He also plays guitar and has a baritone singing range. At 192 cm, his physical presence is matched by an ability to adapt convincingly to very different character types, from romantic leads and vulnerable protagonists to villains and more physically demanding roles.
Alec speaks Swedish as his native language and is fluent in English and Italian, with intermediate French and basic German. He is based in Stockholm and holds European Union working rights.
With a body of work that already spans international television, feature films and award-recognised short films, Alec continues to build a career defined by versatility, physical commitment and an ability to disappear convincingly into very different worlds and characters.
Alec Toselli is represented worldwide by Greensmith Artists.
