Christos Sougaris is a Greek theatre director and actor.
He served as Head of Artistic Programming at the National Theatre of Northern Greece, where he curated the program for the 2022–2025 period.
In 2018, he received the Young Theatre Creator award from the Union of Greek Theatre Critics.
His directorial work focuses on reinterpreting classical texts through a contemporary aesthetic, aiming to redefine the relationship between myth and modern audiences.
His productions have been presented at major institutions and festivals including the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), the National Theatre of Greece, the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the Dimitria Festival (Thessaloniki), the Aeschylia Festival (Eleusis), the International Festival of Ancient Greek Drama (Cyprus), and the Municipal Theatre of Kozani.
