Eduardo “Teddy” Williams (b. 1987) is an Argentine film director known for his experimental and avant-garde approach to cinema. Born in Buenos Aires, he studied filmmaking at Universidad del Cine and later attended Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains in France under the mentorship of Miguel Gomes.
Williams began his career with a series of short films that explore unconventional narratives and a fluid relationship between realism and imagination, including Tan atentos (2011), Could See a Puma (2011), The Sound of the Stars Dazes Me (2012), Que je tombe tout le temps? (2013), and I Forgot! (2014).
His debut feature, The Human Surge (2016), brought him international acclaim and screened at major festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Toronto, and New York. His work often blends documentary elements with poetic imagery, improvisation, and non-linear storytelling, engaging with ideas of movement, connection, and global youth culture.
Williams continues to live and work internationally, developing new projects that challenge cinematic form and audience perception.
