Lana Barić, born on December 11, 1979, in Split, Croatia, is a distinguished theater, television, and film actress. She graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo in 2005. During her studies, she collaborated with prominent Bosnian and Herzegovinian directors, including Haris Pašović and Gradimir Gojer. Her portrayal of Olivera in Safet Plakalo's play Phoenix je sagorio uzalud earned her the "Sanel Agić" award for Best Young Actor at the Festival of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Drama in Brčko in 2003.
After moving to Zagreb, Barić joined the Mala Scena theater, where she performed in several productions, notably as Clytemnestra in Iphigenia, directed by Ivica Šimić. This role garnered her the Croatian Actor Award in the Young Artist category and the Special Sponsor Award at the International Youth Festival "Rainbow" in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Barić's versatility extends to television and film. She appeared in the popular Croatian series Stipe u gostima in 2008. Her performance in Zvonimir Jurić's short film Žuti mjesec, part of the omnibus Zagrebačke priče, received critical acclaim, earning her the Best Actress Award at the Brussels Short Film Festival in 2011. In 2013, she won the prestigious Golden Arena for Best Supporting Actress at the Pula Film Festival for her role in Lukas Nola's feature film Šuti. She further showcased her talent in films such as Majka asfalta by Dalibor Matanić and Noćni brodovi by Igor Mirković.
In addition to acting, Barić has demonstrated her skills as a screenwriter. She wrote and starred in the short film Tina in 2019, which was well-received at various film festivals.
