Lena Barbara Luhse, born on November 30, 1991, in Pärnu, Estonia, is a distinguished film and theatre actress. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Acting at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2020. Lena further enriched her training through exchange programs at the Danish National School of Performing Arts (2019) and Rose Bruford College in London (2018) and participated in a short collaboration program with Leonid Heifetz at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in 2017. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in History of Art & Design from the University of Brighton, England (2011-2014). Since 2020, Lena has been a drama actress at the Vanemuine Theatre, where her notable performances include leading roles such as Antigone in Sophocles' Antigone and Olga in Turgenev's Fortune's Fool. Her filmography features roles like Sister Sniger in Deliver Us (2023) and Triinu in Dark Paradise (2023). In television, she portrayed Info Lady in the series Estonia (2023). Lena is fluent in Estonian and English, with intermediate proficiency in Spanish, Swedish, German, and Russian. Her diverse skill set encompasses advanced tennis, kendo (4 kyu), windsurfing, stage combat (close combat, rapier), singing, voice-over work, event hosting, synchronous translation, wildlife photography, and painting. In recognition of her talent, she received the Bruno O'Ya Scholarship for Young Actor and the Black Night Stars Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2022.
