Marta Šćekić is a Serbian actress known for her powerful and nuanced stage performances. She holds a Master’s degree in Acting from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad.
In June 2024, Marta was awarded the Golden Leaf for Best Actress at the Kustendorf Theatre Festival for her role as Freddy in the play Locusts. The role was especially demanding, as she portrayed a male character—an artistic challenge she embraced with depth and authenticity. Reflecting on the experience, she remarked, “Feelings are not gender-determined, no matter how much the social narrative suggests otherwise.”
She also starred in Psychosis 4:48, directed by Nemanja Mijović, a bold production tackling themes of emotional and mental health. The play was selected as one of only eight European productions to be featured at the "Fast Forward" festival in Dresden, Germany, in November 2024.
