Ronald Pelin began his acting career when filmmaker Anu Pennanen cast him in Sõprus-Druzhba (2006), which led him to pursue drama training at Vene Teater. He later studied at prestigious Moscow drama schools, including the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute, GITIS, and the Moscow Art Theatre School, where he completed a four-year acting program. After graduation, he co-founded JulyEnsemble, performing on major Russian theater stages. Seeking to expand his skills, he trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles and transitioned primarily to film and television.
His early screen work included a small role in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020), though his scenes were cut from the final edit. He then starred in several short films before being invited to the Casting Bridge Forum in London, where he connected with international casting directors. This led to auditions for major projects, securing him a role in Klim Shipenko’s December (2023) and the lead role of Yoni Hirshman in Sergey Ursulyak’s Tzadik (2023). His upcoming appearances include the TV series Revenge Office (2024), further establishing him as a rising talent in European cinema.
