Sergej Trifunović is one of the leading screen and stage actors of his generation in Southeast Europe. With a career spanning film, television and theatre, he has built a body of work defined by intensity, intelligence and an instinctive command of complex, often uncompromising characters.

His international screen credits include A Serbian Film, Next, War, Inc., The Raven, The Whistleblower, In Order of Disappearance, Savior and 3 A.M., alongside an extensive body of work across Serbian and regional cinema. He has collaborated across both European and American productions, moving between auteur-driven films, mainstream features and distinctive character roles with equal authority.

In the region, Sergej is widely recognised for performances that combine volatility, humour and emotional precision. His credits include some of the most visible and culturally resonant film and television projects from the Balkans, including Munje!, Kad porastem biću kengur, Profesionalac, Karaula, Montevideo, Bog te video and Ajvar. For his performance in Ajvar, he received the Car Konstantin Award for Best Actor at Filmski susreti in Niš.

A graduate of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Sergej comes from a family of actors and has remained a major presence across screen and stage for more than three decades. His work continues to stand out for its physical presence, emotional risk and rare ability to make even the most difficult characters deeply watchable.
